In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five news and magazine applications on a unified platform in Latin America showcased diverse trends, according to Sensor Tower data.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. demonstrated a strong performance with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $120K by the end of March. Downloads showed a significant spike to 564K in early January but tapered off to around 438K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 58M throughout the period.

Noticias Locales experienced a subtle increase in weekly revenue, reaching $66 in mid-March. Downloads initially dropped to 22K in late January but rebounded to 79K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady rise from approximately 1.3M to 1.35M over the quarter.

Quick News marked a significant jump in downloads from 100 in late December to around 68K by the end of March. Revenue, though minimal, increased to $67 in the final week of March. Active users grew steadily, reaching 90K by the quarter's end.
